What is Wi-Fi?

Can I improve my Wi-Fi range by upgrading my equipment?

Why is the speed registering lower than quoted?
Data is still primarily sent down copper cables, the longer the cable the more signal is lost, so the further away from the exchange you are, the weaker and slower the speed.
