This Valentines Day, our team came together in the spirit of the occasion, turning our love for baking into a meaningful initiative to support an incredibly important cause. We organised a mobile, Valentines themed bake sale featuring a selection of homemade cupcakes and brownies. Customers placed their orders in advance and contributed via our JustGiving page and we personally delivered their sweet treats to their workplace.
Originally, we set out with a fundraising goal of £150, but the overwhelming generosity of our community exceeded all expectations. Thanks to the incredible support from those who donated, placed orders and spread the word, we managed to raise an astonishing £786 and we are immensely proud! This is proof of how small acts of kindness can add up to make a significant impact.
But our initiative was about more than just sharing delicious treats. At its core, our mission was to support the outstanding work of St Peter & St James Hospice. This incredible organisation provides specialist and compassionate care to those facing life-limiting illnesses, ensuring they receive the comfort they deserve. Their dedicated team offers not only expert medical care but also emotional and practical support to patients and their families during incredibly difficult times.
Being able to contribute to such an essential cause has been an honour and we are beyond grateful to everyone who helped make this fundraiser such a success. Your kindness has made a real difference and we can’t thank our community enough.
Given the overwhelming response this year, we are more inspired than ever to continue our fundraising efforts in the future. This is just the beginning and we are excited to explore new ways to give back to our community. We truly loved every moment of this initiative and we look forward to doing more to support the Hospice.
